On the West of France, on 600 kilometers front, seven german armies with two millions of soldiers invade France. The first army, led by the general Von Kluge, crosses the Somme, an important river for the defence of the french capital. The german foot soldiers have walked 400 km and dream of a triumphal entrance into Paris. French and english armies make a controlled retreat. The troops of the french colonies go up toward the north after the landing at Frejus. Around Paris, the defence is organized with all the possible means. September 2nd, french planes realise that the german army doesn't go to Paris but tries to surround the french army by exposing itself to a french and english attack on the Marne...
