Was Stalin an anti-Semite ?
Apocalypse : StalineStalin plays both sides with the Jews
Ukraine, 1944, Stalin wants to hide the Ukrainans implication in their antisemit crimes and their whole collaboration with the Germans during the Great Patriotic War. The Ukrainians, victims in the past of starvations organized by the Bolsheviks, have supplied combatants to Germans. The purge is led by an Ukrainian, Nikita Khrushchev, who will never hesitate in the terror and the devotion to Stalin. Khrushchev is complaining about the Jews return who, by miracle, have survived from massacres. Their houses are occupied by Ukrainians. Was Staline an anti-Semit ? He is primarily a politician. His attitude is unclear : it changes according to times and circumstances. Stalin's anti-Semitism was a mix of prejudices, national distrust towards a known stateless people, suspicions towards his enemies, often jewish.
