Yellowstone National Park - Culture et connaissance en anglais

Avec Buddy, Maéva découvre le plus ancien parc national des Etats-Unis, le plus célèbre aussi : le parc de Yellowstone. Il est à cheval sur trois états : le Wyoming, le Montana et l'Idaho. Il fascine par ses bassins au mille et une couleurs, ses geysers, son Grand Canyon et sa vie sauvage exceptionnelle. C'est un lieu unique au monde.

Pourquoi visiter Yellowstone ?

- Maéva : Mais ça existe vraiment ça ? C’est magnifique.

- Buddy : De quoi tu parles?

- Maéva : Yellowstone tu connais ?

- Buddy : Oh yes, Yellowstone National Park, it’s the most ancient and one of the biggest parks in the United States.

- Maéva : Yeah, it’s a huge area of wild nature!

- Buddy : Its total area is 9000 km² and it receives more than 3 million visitors per year. It’s got high mountains covered with snow, forests with almost two thousand different tree species. Are you going to visit it?

- Maéva : Of course I am! It’s amazing! Just look at this!

- Buddy : Oh, that’s Lower Falls, the tallest waterfall in the world.

- Maéva : Yes, there are almost three hundred waterfalls in Yellowstone ! And two hundred geysers.

- Buddy : Yeah, that’s because it’s a volcanic area.

- Maéva : Look. It’s the tallest geyser in the world!

- Buddy : Its name is Steamboat Geyser, it can project water up to 90 meters.

- Maéva : That’s insane! Oh, and there are ten thousand hot water springs. Have you ever heard of Prismatic Grand Spring?

- Buddy : Well, in fact I have...

- Maéva : Look!

- Buddy : I have to admit the colours are absolutely wonderful. It almost looks unreal.

- Maéva : But it’s real, it’s totally real! And the animals…

- Buddy : Can you show me some pictures of the animals you can see in the park?

- Maéva : I’m sure there are some you don’t even know.

- Buddy : Wolf. Bear. Squirrel. Fox. Elk.

- Maéva : Ouais, ça s’appelle wapiti en français, je connaissais même pas.

- Buddy : Coyote. Bison. Puma. Deer. Euuuuuh…

- Maéva : Euh ouais, oublie ça c’est rien du tout. Mais ça doit être tellement fou de voir des animaux comme ça.

- Buddy : Indeed, it is quite amazing.

- Maéva : Et moi j’ai même pas un chat. Attends, j’ai une idée… Est-ce qu’à ton avis ça s’apprivoise… un wapiti ?
